This device is in good cosmetic and tested working condition. Lightweight and durable, its sleek design fits right in your pocket. Recently removed from a working environment. Guaranteed. I put in a new 9V battery and it lights right up with an LLL. I wasn't sure what exactly it measured so I ran a few tests. Chapstick shows an HHH, Coffee with cream showed a 1.037 and water showed a 1.000 (see pictures). The button on the bottom clears it showing a flashing 000 then the display lights up with an AAA? Not sure exactly how to work this so hopefully you have a basic knowledge of portable refractometers. This device has a port for a 9V charger (NOT included) and an on/off button (slightly faded) on the side of the device. The pocket refractometer is designed for clinical purposes: "Serum Protein", "Specific Gravity of Urine" and "Refractive Index". The plastic body model is designed to be resistant salty and acidic samples. It is an Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) model

Condition & Testing
This device is in great cosmetic and tested working condition with normal signs of wear from previous use. Placed the battery inside the unit and power it on and it displayed an LLL. I put a drop of water on it and it has a red backlight that reads when the on button is pressed. It gave a read-out of 1.00, for coffee with creamer 1.037 and for chapstick an HHH. The button on the bottom I pressed and it flashed a 000 then gave an AAA read-out. Not sure what that means but it appears to be working just fine. The automatic shut off is working properly. All the rubber feet are present and it still appears to be as durable and resistant as ever. The manufacturer's tag is slightly peeling on the back but still intact. Battery is NEW and the 9V DC port is clear and unobstructed. Does NOT come with DC power supply.
